What changed
Coinfig now has three plans, and they differ on what the product does for you, not only on how much data you bring.
- Free, R0. Available when you reach Coinfig through a trusted partner. One account, connected and kept in sync for you, and up to 100 transactions. You get the full tax report for every tax year, the dashboard, transaction history with editing, balances per source, your Data Completeness Score and all preferences.
- Starter, R190/year (or $15/year outside South Africa). Any import method: exchange connections, wallet addresses and CSV files. Up to 1,000 transactions across up to 5 data sources, plus raw transaction data exports.
- Advanced, R2,500/year (or $139/year outside South Africa). Unlimited transactions and sources, every report type including the Audit Report and the Complete Tax Bundle, the accountant link, the Xero export, the ability to ring-fence sources into separate pools, and priority support with calls answered.
Advanced is the plan that used to be called Pro. The name changed because the plan did: it is no longer just a bigger data allowance, it is where the rest of the product lives.
Why the free plan moved to partners
A partner sign-in hands us a clean, first-party feed of your history and keeps it current, so we can stand behind the report without doing reconciliation work first. That is what makes it possible to give the report away. An account you set up yourself, with connections you add yourself, needs the reconciliation work, and that is what the paid plans cover.
If you already pay for Coinfig
Nothing changes for you. An active subscription keeps the price and the data limits it was bought on, for as long as it stays active and renewing, and the tax years you have already licensed stay licensed on the terms you bought them. The new limits apply to new purchases and to upgrades. The terms set this out in full.
